About Me

Hi! My name is Amber, and I teach 3rd grade in Texas. I taught 4th grade for four years, and I never thought I would teach younger than that! Low and behold an opportunity came up to be a part of opening a brand new school teaching 3rd grade, and I couldn't turn it down! I'm so glad that I took a chance, I absolutely love teaching 3rd grade. This 2017-2018 school year will be my sixth year in the classroom.

I am married with two furbabies. Our doggies are our children.

I love to watch movies and listen to music. My favorite movie of all time is Back to the Future, and my favorite band is The Beatles. I have a ukulele that I purchased when I was on vacation in Hawaii, and I have been trying to learn how to play. I love going on cruises with my husband (or really anyone that is willing to cruise with me). I have a slight obsession with giraffes, and they have taken over my classroom!

I love, love, love "Dad Jokes" and puns. As a matter of fact, the name of my blog and TPT store, To Third With Love, was meant to be a play on words of the classic Sidney Poitier movie, To Sir With Love.
